When I got home on Christmas Eve, my mom asked me if I had a book to read. I brought Nabokov's Lolita with me to re-re-read but was into the idea of cracking open a new book. She recommended Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail (which she had on her nook) to me after we talked about going to see the movie at some point while I was home. That didn't happen unfortunately but I was able to finish the book --it was a fast but good read. The way Strayed wove the story of her time on the PCT with the anecdotes that ultimately made her decide to do the strenuous hike was really well done and made a great story. I'm excited to see the movie and watch Reese Witherspoon's portrayal of Strayed --it's been getting great reviews. Cheers!
