One of my absolute favorite podcasts is RadioLab. I used to fall asleep listening to it (but then they had one about nightmares that freaked me out and the habit came to a halt). My favorite episode and coincidentally, my introduction to RadioLab is the one titled "Falling."
There are 14,932 ways to fall. In the episode, they explore eight: falling, when you're almost asleep and you jerk awake because you feel like you're about to fall, falling in love, falling through a black hole and three other ones that I can't remember.
Anyways, I decided to re-listen to this episode today and about five minutes in, I remembered a dream that I had earlier this week and I thought I'd share it:
I was swimming in a beautiful lake with cliffs all around, and the water felt like bathwater -completely comfortable; and there was a hole. One could dive or jump into this hole in the lake and they'd just fall... not underwater like drowning, you could still breathe but you'd just fall and fall and fall. And at the bottom of this fall was a place called "The Weight Room." I have no idea why it was called that but it was like another lake at the bottom of the one I was in. I woke myself up from the falling part, so I didn't make it to The Weight Room. Maybe in another dream.
